Independent vs. Captive Insurance Agents Explained
One of my favorite things about being an independent insurance agent is that we get to work for our clients, and not specifically for one company. Because we work with so many companies all throughout the US and Texas, we are able to focus on our clients’ needs and find the best company for them. Until I became an insurance agent, I did not know the difference between a captive and an independent insurance agency. An independent agency can work with multiple insurance companies, whereas a captive agency specifically works for one company.
We also advocate for our clients during accidents and with insurance adjusters if they have claims. You’re always welcome to call once we are your agents and we will work to help sort out any bumps you have with your adjuster.
If you are looking for an agent who will assist you with navigating insurance located in the DFW area, please reach out to Ryan Everet Insurance Agency. Our number is 940-268-5112. We service home, auto, life, boat, and commercial policies for clients located anywhere in Texas.
We also carry companies who write policies in south Texas, like San Antonio and Fort Bend.

Another awesome thing about independent agencies is that we can switch you to a different company upon renewal when the price with one company increases. You don’t have to worry about calling a ton of insurance companies yourself and dealing with all the red tape and hassle that comes with that.
Denton Texas has been home to Ryan Everet Insurance for nine years as of June 9th of 2022. We are happy to be celebrating our ninth anniversary and look forward to many years to come!
