2014 Pistons and Paint Car Show in Denton

Join the fun at the 2014 Pistons and Paint Car show at the North Texas Fairgrounds in Denton, Texas on Saturday November 8th.  Gates are open from 8am to 6pm.  It’s not too often that there is such a massive collection of pre-1965 cars all in one location which creating stimulation overload for a car fanatic like myself.   Old cars have that smell and character that makes you feel like you’re driving a piece of history.

Even though I’m too young to know first hand what the era was like when these cars were on the road for the first time, I do have a personal affection for older cars.  I graduated high school in 1994 and drove the oldest car on campus which was my dad’s 1967 Chevrolet C-10 that was infamously named “Luby”.   I remember riding in the back of that old truck when I was four years old with my three older siblings.  The second car that made me love older cars was my dad’s 1973 Datsun 240Z.  I remember thinking how cool it was when my dad would pick me up in elementary school in that red sports car.  I ended up inheriting that car too eventually.

The first 2 pictures are the old Chevy Truck and Z car I was referring to above.   The rest are some of my favorite cars from last years event.
